The Food Safety and Drug Administration (FSDA) in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, conducted a prompt enforcement operation after identifying mawa (khoya) suspected to be unsafe for consumption. Approximately 10 quintals of the product were seized and destroyed during the inspection.

The destroyed mawa was worth around ₹2.55 lakh. Authorities carried out the operation as part of ongoing food safety efforts, especially with demand for dairy-based sweets rising ahead of the festive season.
