In a major anti-adulteration operation, authorities seized 9,853 litres of vanaspati ghee or adulterated ghee from a factory in Kukarkheda Mandi on Wednesday in Jaipur, officials from the Medical and Health Department said. Food Safety Commissioner T. Shubhamangala stated that a team led by Chief Medical and Health Officer (Jaipur I), Ravi Shekhawat, conducted the raid on suspicion of adulteration.
Officials Seize Chilli Powder Amid Adulteration Drive
During the drive, officials also collected a sample of chilli powder from a provision store in Vikas Nagar Industrial Area (VKIA) and seized 150 kg of the spice for testing. The authorities will take further action after receiving the laboratory test reports of the seized items, the official added.
