Seven Shops Checked, One Sealed for Violations
Food and Drug Administration (FDA) teams in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, conducted a major inspection drive in Indore to check the quality of protein powder and other food products. Officials collected samples from seven shops and sealed one outlet for operating without a valid food license. The FDA sealed High Born Nutrition, located near Tower Square, after the owner failed to present a food license. Officials also issued a notice and clarified that the shop can reopen only after producing the required license.
Inspections Extend to the Manufacturing Unit and Schools
The teams inspected AVE Life Science Private Limited, a protein manufacturing unit on Nemawar Road, and collected two protein powder samples for testing. They also collected samples from the canteens of Podar International School and Model International School. All samples were sent to the Bhopal laboratory for analysis.
Operation Led by Senior Food Safety Officer
The district administration formed three teams, led by Senior Food Safety Officer Manish Swami, to take action against establishments with irregularities. The inspection teams included food officers Neeraj Shrivastav, Manoj Raghuvanshi, Avshesh Agrawal, Pushpak Dwivedi, Prabhulal Dodiyar, Alamelu PV, Vaishali Singh, and Sharad Sahu.
