Significant Update
Revant Himatsingka, widely known as Food Pharmer, has raised concerns about the ingredients and marketing of Sting Energy Drink. In a recent video, he highlighted what he called the “shocking reality” of the drink, pointing to its high sugar content, caffeine levels, and use of artificial colours.
He noted that although the product label states that the drink is “not recommended for children,” many young people still consume it. Himatsingka argued that aggressive marketing and easy availability make the drink especially popular among teenagers, raising questions about the need for stricter regulation.
High Sugar and Caffeine Content
According to his analysis, the drink contains significant amounts of added sugar and caffeine, which could pose health concerns when consumed frequently. He urged consumers to read ingredient labels carefully before purchasing such beverages. Himatsingka also noted that the drink’s low price—often around ₹20— and wide availability contribute to its popularity, especially among younger consumers looking for an affordable energy drink. In his LinkedIn post, Himatsingka also mentioned that PepsiCo, the company behind Sting, had earlier taken down one of his videos discussing the product.
