Key Update 

Members of the Idukki Taluk Sabha raised concerns about food adulteration in the region. Acting on these complaints, the Food Safety Department conducted inspections and registered five cases.

Five Units Booked in Idukki for Food Adulteration

Officials booked Ahmedabad Givardhan Factory for adulterating Bengal gram, and Elappara Bhaskara Hotel and Bakery for selling rusk without meeting prescribed standards. They also filed cases against Saravanan Pappadom in Arakkulam for violations in pappad production, Marottikkal Traders at Idathala Kuzhivelippadi in Aluva for producing synthetic vinegar, and Ajmal International in Vengalloor, Thodupuzha, for selling adulterated dates.
