In a shocking incident in Virar in Palghar in Maharashtra, locals allegedly found a green-coloured snake on a pani puri cart stationed on a busy street. The unexpected sight created panic and raised serious concerns about the safety standards followed by roadside vendors.

Chaos at the Spot

Eyewitnesses said the snake suddenly emerged from behind materials stored on the cart while customers were standing nearby. The sudden appearance frightened those present and caused brief chaos in the area. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Local youths recorded the incident on their mobile phones, and the video quickly spread across social media platforms. With the assistance of residents and trained snake rescuers, authorities safely removed the reptile and prevented any harm.

Hygiene Concerns Resurface

The incident has once again highlighted the hygiene challenges at roadside food stalls. Citizens and experts highlighted issues such as the open storage of ingredients, inadequate sanitation, questionable water quality, and improper food handling. These practices can increase the risk of contamination and foodborne illnesses. Following the incident, many residents questioned the safety of consuming street-side pani puri. They urged authorities to enforce clear and strict hygiene guidelines for vendors to protect public health.
