Three-year-old Olivia died of suspected food poisoning after she and her father, Henry, mother, and grandmother, all residents of Vendoor of Thrissur district, ate masala dosa at a hotel near Angamaly, Ernakulam, on Saturday. The family felt unwell shortly after consuming the meal.

Family Experiences Discomfort After a Meal

After finishing the meal, Henry experienced discomfort and went to a hospital for an injection. Soon after, Olivia and her mother also showed symptoms. They visited a private hospital, received injections, and returned home. When Olivia’s condition worsened, the family admitted her to a private hospital in Kodakara, Thrissur. They later shifted her to another hospital in Vendoor and then to Pudukad Taluk Hospital. Despite their efforts, Olivia died on Monday morning.

Police Inquest Underway

Pudukad police have conducted an inquest into the tragic incident. Authorities are investigating the cause of food poisoning and its possible connection to the masala dosa.
