Aland, Karnataka – A group of more than 20 individuals experienced symptoms of food poisoning in Aland town on Friday evening. Fifteen of them have been admitted to Aland taluk hospital after complaining of vomiting, dysentery, and stomachache. The incident occurred following a visit to Ladle Mashak Dargah in Aland by a group from Doni village in Vijayapura district.

After completing their religious rituals, the group decided to cook food at the dargah premises to share among themselves. Tragically, it is believed that they used contaminated water obtained from a nearby hand pump for cooking purposes. Soon after consuming the food, they began experiencing severe stomachache and vomiting, prompting immediate medical attention.

Authorities swiftly responded to the situation, rushing the affected individuals to Aland taluk hospital for treatment. Medical professionals are closely monitoring their conditions and providing necessary care.
