Report

Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Prataprao Jadhav announced skill enhancement initiatives to improve street food vendors‘ practices and uphold public health standards. Addressing a one-day training session for food business operators and Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) on Sunday, December 29, in Thirupathi, FSSAI organized the event to promote safe and hygienic practices. Mr Jadhav emphasized the goals of the ‘Project Clean Street Food’ initiative and urged local vendors to prioritize hygiene while benefiting from government support.

Four Centers to Rise in Andhra Pradesh

The government will establish four out of 100 proposed street food centres in Andhra Pradesh, located in Tirupati, Kadapa, Vijayawada, and Visakhapatnam. Mr Jadhav encouraged small vendors to register online under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, highlighting self-employment as a key driver for personal and economic growth.

The Minister interacted directly with the trainees, listening to their grassroots challenges and offering guidance to help them overcome obstacles in their journey toward improvement.
