UFlex Launches Recycled Plastic for Food Packaging

Report

UFlex Ltd, India’s largest flexible packaging company, has launched a new single-pellet solution made from recycled PET (rPET) for food and beverage packaging. This solution, approved by FSSAI, blends recycled and virgin plastic into one pellet, making it easier for manufacturers to use recycled materials safely.

Safe and Strong for Food Use

The pellets offer high purity, strength, and heat resistance, meeting strict food safety standards. Since manufacturers don’t need to mix materials separately, this saves time and ensures consistent quality. “This single-pellet solution will be a game-changer for food and beverage brands meeting EPR rules under FSSAI guidelines,” said Ashish Saxena, Joint President, Packaging Films Business at UFlex.

Part of UFlex’s Green Mission

UFlex continues to invest in sustainability. The company is building two new recycling plants in Noida and has USFDA approval to recycle rPET, rPE, and rPP for food packaging. With recycling plants in India, Poland, Egypt, and Mexico, UFlex is the only Indian company offering global solutions for recycling plastic and flexible packaging waste. It continues to push for greener and smarter package options worldwide.
