Thirteen students from Kayamkulam Women’s Polytechnic College have been admitted to Kayamkulam Taluk Hospital with suspected food poisoning. They experienced vomiting, diarrhoea, and other symptoms after having dinner at the college hostel on Tuesday night.

Sambar Alleged to be Reheated from Lunch

Students allege that the sambar served at night was the same one provided during lunch earlier that day. Dinner also included rasam and other curries. The Municipality Health Department and the Food Safety Department inspected the hostel and collected food samples for testing. Officials have begun investigations to determine the cause of the illness.
