Consumers are advised to purchase only properly packaged and labelled sweets and savouries, ensuring that the date of manufacture, expiry, and ingredients are clearly mentioned. Authorities reminded vendors to use clean water and high-quality ingredients and to follow hygiene norms while preparing Diwali festive treats.
Public Can Report Violations
The Food Safety Department has invited the public to report any violations by food sellers by calling 94440 42322.
