Key Update
Five students at KVK School in Indira Nagar, Ghatkopar West, Mumbai, were rushed to Rajawadi Hospital on Monday afternoon after falling ill from a samosa served in the school canteen. The incident happened around 2:15 pm, shortly after the children finished their snack break. Teachers noticed the students vomiting, feeling dizzy, and complaining of stomach pain, and immediately alerted the school management.
Hospital Observations and Parental Intervention
At Rajawadi Hospital, doctors conducted initial examinations. Dr Bharti Mandal said the symptoms pointed to a possible foodborne illness. “The first two children arrived with nausea, followed by three more. We placed all five under 24-hour observation after checking their vitals. Later in the evening, the parents took the children home against medical advice,” she added.
