The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced a nationwide recall of certain batches of Organic Moringa Leaf Powder due to potential Salmonella contamination. The product was sold across the country through Africa Imports’ official website. The company voluntarily initiated the recall because Salmonella infections can be serious, especially for young children, older adults, and people with weakened immunity.
Details of the Affected Product
The recalled moringa powder was packed in 1-kilogram boxes labelled “Organic Moringa Leaf Powder.” To help consumers identify the product, authorities also released images of the recalled batch. According to the FDA, “Some samples from this lot tested positive for Salmonella. As a precaution, we are recalling all moringa products from this batch.”
What Consumers Should Do
Officials urged customers to stop using the product immediately and dispose of it safely. Africa Imports has asked consumers to confirm disposal by responding to the recall email or contacting the company directly. Those who distribute the product further must identify their customers and notify them about the recall. This recall covers all batches of Organic Moringa Leaf Powder purchased on or after June 5, 2025. Despite the contamination risk, no related illnesses have been reported so far.
