Acting on a tip-off, police teams inspected “SK Royal Enterprises” and “Shahi Gold Companies” at Wadia Mustafa Nagar in Jalpally. Officials found that the units were manufacturing ginger garlic paste using low-quality ginger and synthetic food colours. The operators failed to obtain the required licences and did not comply with the guidelines of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India.

Unhygienic Conditions Raise Health Concerns

Officials stated that the operators processed and packed the products in unhygienic conditions before supplying them to local shops. Authorities believe these practices posed a serious risk to public health. During the operation, police seized boxes of synthetic food colours, large quantities of packed and loose ginger garlic paste, bags of garlic and salt, company labels, weighing, grinding and mixing machines, and packing materials. The total value of the seized materials is estimated at ₹10 lakh.
