Key Update
The BioNEST Incubation Centre at CSIR-CFTRI, in collaboration with the International Training Centre for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (ITCFSAN) of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, will organise a four-day certificate-oriented workshop on Food Safety and Export Regulations from March 23 to 27. Senior officials from FSSAI and experienced regulatory experts will conduct the sessions. Through this programme, the organisers aim to equip participants with practical knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements that food businesses and exporters must follow.
Key Laws and Practical Training
The workshop will cover the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, and the Food Safety and Standards (Licensing and Registration of Food Businesses) Regulations, 2011. Trainers will also provide a hands-on demonstration of the FoSCoS portal to help participants understand licensing and registration procedures. In addition, experts will explain critical aspects of food export regulations, documentation, and compliance processes required for accessing international markets.
The organisers have tailored the programme for food startups, entrepreneurs, academicians, students, and industry stakeholders who want to strengthen their regulatory understanding and improve export readiness.
Limited Seats; Discounted Fee Offered
To encourage wider participation, the organisers have fixed a discounted registration fee of ₹5,000 for startups, students, and academicians. They will admit only the first 50 registered participants.
