Illegal Factories in Greater Noida
Following a tip-off, food department officials raided two factories in Greater Noida on Tuesday and seized 13,092 one-litre bottles of drinking water packaged without valid licenses. The officials collected two samples for lab testing to verify water quality. At Gupta Enterprises, located in K-300, Site 5, Kasna Industrial Area, authorities discovered illegal operations. The factory packaged water under the name “Bilseri,” which closely resembled a well-known brand’s name and packaging. Officials seized 6,252 bottles, took one sample, and sealed the remaining 6,236 bottles on-site.
Parametro Waser Technology Also Violated Food Safety Norms
The team found Parametro Waser Technology, operating at plot number 2/88 in the same industrial area, similarly violating food safety regulations. Officials confiscated 6,856 bottles, collected a sample for testing, and sealed 6,840 bottles. Sarvesh Mishra, Assistant Commissioner of Food, confirmed that the raids form part of a summer campaign to ensure safe drinking water. He added that authorities continue to check if packaged drinking water in the market meets safety standards. Both factories have ceased operations until legal proceedings conclude.
