FSSAI Seizes Expired Stock from Gollapudi Dry Fruit Supplier

Wholesale Supplier Targeted

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), together with the Vigilance and Enforcement Departments, raided G.M. Food Products, a wholesale dry fruit supplier in Gollapudi, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, and confiscated a large quantity of expired stock. The operation took place on Tuesday under instructions from the Regional Vigilance and Enforcement Officer and the Commissioner of Food Safety.

Expired Products Confiscated

Acting on a tip-off, officials inspected the premises and seized expired strawberry milk flavour, pista milk flavour, and gel packets worth around ₹1.55 lakh.

Legal Action and Disposal

The team registered a case against the shop owner under Section 58 of the FSSAI Act, 2006 and collected samples for laboratory analysis. Officials confirmed that they will destroy the seized stock after it is presented in the Joint Collector’s court.
