Renowned Malayalam film director and production controller, Baiju Paravoor, passed away unexpectedly on June 26 at the age of 42. Paravoor had been receiving treatment for fever and physical discomfort, and his family suspects that food poisoning may have been the cause of his untimely demise. According to family sources, Paravoor had experienced physical discomfort following his meal at a hotel in Kozhikode on June 24, after participating in a movie discussion. Seeking medical attention for his discomfort, he initially received treatment on his wife’s recommendation in Kunnamkulam and was later transferred to a private hospital in Kuzhupilly on June 25. His condition deteriorated unfortunately , and was transferred to Kochi, where he passed away. Paravoor’s upcoming film, “Secret,” was set to be released soon, adding to the unfortunate timing of his demise. Apart from his directorial work, Paravoor had also served as a production controller for over 45 films.
