Food safety authorities in Uttar Pradesh seized 1,664 kilograms of suspected fake paneer worth around ₹5 lakh during an enforcement drive in Aligarh. The operation targeted the storage and quality of dairy products being supplied in the area. Officials found paneer stored in large drums under questionable hygiene conditions. The setup raised concerns about storage practices and overall food safety standards.

Samples Collected, Stock Destroyed

Authorities collected samples from the seized stock and sent them for laboratory testing to assess quality and compliance. After deeming the paneer unsafe for consumption, officials destroyed the entire consignment as per protocol. In a related crackdown earlier in Ghaziabad, officials seized around 900 kilograms of paneer worth ₹2.25 lakh during a late-night vehicle check. Authorities later declared the stock unfit and disposed of it to prevent health risks.
