KFC Strengthens Food Safety in Kerala with India Sahyog Program

KFC has launched its India Sahyog Program in Kerala after successfully supporting over 1,100 restaurants in Mumbai, Delhi, and Hyderabad. The program began in Thiruvananthapuram, providing training to more than 100 local restaurants on food safety, hygiene, customer service, and profitability.

Recognition from Authorities

State Food Safety Commissioner Afsana Parveen praised KFC’s efforts, noting that Kerala consistently ranks first in food safety and that KFC’s support plays a key role in enhancing safety practices in local restaurants.

India Sahyog Program Details

Launched in 2020, the India Sahyog Program partners with the Retailers Association of India (RAI) and the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) to train restaurants across the country. KFC aims to support 2,000 restaurants by 2026. Aman Lal, KFC’s Chief People and Supply Chain Officer, highlighted that the program empowers restaurants by providing essential training to maintain high standards. Pradeep Das, CEO of Devyani International Limited, discussed the importance of food safety and corporate responsibility.
