NASVI Launches Safe Food Game

The National Association of Street Vendors of India (NASVI) in Patna launched a learning initiative called the Safe Food Game on Tuesday to strengthen food safety and hygiene practices among street food vendors. The organisation introduced the programme in Patna and New Delhi as part of a broader health awareness drive.

NASVI unveiled the initiative at Parivartan Hall in the Maurya Lok Complex in Patna, where officials from the health department and the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) attended. Surendra Roy, nodal officer of the health department, said, “The game promotes awareness through active participation.”

Digital Platform Guides Safe Food Practices

Over 100 vendors joined the programme and interacted with the digital platform during the session. The tool assessed their food handling practices through a scoring system. It provided corrective instructions in Hindi and other regional languages, helping vendors improve hygiene practices in a structured and engaging manner.
