Zomato has introduced a zero-tolerance policy on analogue dairy dishes sold by restaurants on its platform, effective immediately. The company has already delisted dishes that restaurants declared as containing analogue dairy products. Zomato said the move aims to strengthen food transparency, quality and consumer protection, while supporting compliance with applicable food-safety requirements.

Restaurants Must Remove or Replace Analogue Dairy

Zomato has asked restaurant partners to take immediate corrective action by:

• Switching to natural dairy products wherever possible.
• Removing dishes containing analogue dairy if they cannot make the switch immediately.
• Checking supplier labels and ingredient declarations to verify the ingredients used.
• Ensuring menu listings accurately reflect the food served to customers.

Zomato will delist restaurants that fail to comply and may remove individual listings that violate the policy.

Focus on Food Quality and Transparency

Zomato said the policy supports its broader focus on healthier food choices and greater transparency for consumers. Aditya Mangla, the CEO, said the company aims to safeguard customer health and maintain clear standards for the food restaurants it lists and serves on its platform.
