A 32-year-old cab driver reported finding a lizard inside a paneer tikka roll he had purchased, triggering a health scare and a police case. The customer had stopped at the bakery for a quick meal and ordered a paneer tikka roll after his preferred option was unavailable. While eating, he discovered a lizard inside the food. He immediately confronted the staff, who reportedly denied any lapse and claimed their premises were clean. The situation escalated when the customer, visibly distressed, began to feel unwell and vomited while inspecting the premises.

The customer was taken to a nearby private hospital, where doctors admitted him after he developed symptoms such as diarrhoea. He remained under observation for 24 hours. The incident highlights the potential health risks associated with contaminated food, especially when foreign objects or poor hygiene are involved.

Police have registered a case under provisions related to the negligent handling of potentially harmful substances.
